David Bruton has over 25 years of experience in biologics CMC development, technical leadership, and biologic manufacturing in clinical and commercial settings. In the early 1990s, David joined BASF/Abbott Laboratories where he spent 14 years and was a key contributor to the upstream and primary recovery process for the world best-selling biologic, HUMIRA, and other antibodies. At Elan Pharmaceuticals he led the Process Sciences department and he acted as the Elan’s CMC alliance leader in the collaboration with Biogen Idec for the multiple sclerosis biologic, Tysabri. David was also instrumental in developing the external development and manufacturing platform for all new Elan biologic entities. Most recently David spent 6 years with Sanofi/Genzyme in various Engineering and MSAT leadership roles driving the implementation of new biologic manufacturing technology for product live cycle management.
David earned his BS in Bioengineering from Western New England University and his MS in Bioscience Administration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, USA
Since joining Cilatus, David made key technical contributions to Cilatus biologic development projects and has been acting as the CMC team leader for clients.
